OIS is pleased to announce the release of WinStation Version 10.6. All customers that are currently covered by an OIS Service Contract are eligible for a free upgrade - to request your free upgrade DVD please click the link below.

Below you will find a summary of some of the new features. Many of these features are in response to feedback provided by you—our users—and we hope you find them useful.
Canon EOS Support
With WinStation 10.6, seamless connectivity between all the Canon EOS digital cameras models is now included, enabling integration that mirrors that of our integration with the WinStation 11K, 5000, Retina and Essential cameras. This new level of integration will offer new and exciting options for customers seeking cost-effective retinal imaging options.
Import
Import of images from other sources has been improved to include the option to select file by file with preview prior to import.
Symphony Link
Symphony Link enables users to review images and diagnostic reports within WinStation and then launch the native viewing applications for their diagnostic devices if further investigation is needed. With this tool, users will no longer need to look up a patient multiple times; simply proceed through reviewing images and diagnostic reports as you normally would with the additional functionality of the native applications available at any time with a single click. Additionally OIS can act in the role of HL7 and DICOM agent for a wide variety of these newer instruments that don’t yet have these advanced interfaces.
Currently available applications:
- Optovue RTVue
- Heidelberg Spectralis, HRA
- Optos optomap
PerfectView
PerfectView enables users to combine multiple diagnostic images into a single interactive view to analyze pathology across multiple image types (color, red-free, FA, FAF, ICG) or track change over time by combining multiple images taken on different dates. Simply select the images that you wish to compare, drag the dot across a pathology and change the images in both the foreground and background with the scroll wheel on your mouse.
FAF SuperResolution
Combine several FAF images together to improve their appearance and make more accurate diagnosis. By performing this advanced image processing, the clarity and detail of the image will be significantly enhanced without losing any of the fine detail.
Speed Improvements
WinStation version 10.6 is faster than previous versions in all respects. Database access was
re-engineered and tuned to perform more quickly in every operation. In many cases improvements of as much as 80% have been observed - improvements have been most dramatic over wide area networks and with exceptionally large databases. WinStation start up, for all types of installations, is also 25% faster compared to previous versions.
Windows Vista 32 bit
WinStation now supports Vista 32bit, the latest released 32bit desktop operating system from Microsoft. When your institution is ready to migrate from one operating system to another, OIS is ready.
SQL 2005
WinStation and Symphony now fully support SQL 2005, including the desktop and full server options. |
